I am a surfer, yogi, father, teacher, traveler, writer, and inspiring guide.
I am also a cancer survivor (leukemia at 21). This was one of the best things that ever happened to me; I learned many life lessons at a young age. I got to SEE that this life is a temporary trip, that there is nothing very serious about this joke of life… “No one gets out alive,” as one of my teachers used to say! I learned the importance of authenticity. I learned the importance of purpose, presence, dreams and doing what makes you feel alive. Accepting The Fear and TRUSTING the universe made my period with cancer was a time of intense growth and receiving lessons from life.
Then, after a few years of being healthy, I felt stagnant. I was forgetting what I’d learned. Where had all that power and self-belief gone? Why did life feel so serious?
I started to ask myself:
How do I align with the flow of life so living feels like riding a wave? How do I experience the same sense of fun, connection, spontaneity, synchronicity and excitement that we do while riding a wave, in our daily lives?
These questions became the inspiration behind SURF LIFE.
I realized that I’d cut myself off from the flow of live by keeping these lessons to myself. I realized that in order to FULFILL my purpose and dreams and I had to share these lessons with other people to let my life flow again. I had to give people an experience that would help them clarify what is truly important to them, would help them trust life, would help them face The Fear and follow their dreams… and ultimately help them give to others, help them share their talents and passions to make a difference on this planet.
This is why I run Bali Yoga Surf Retreats. They are an expression of my life purpose, they are super fun and fulfilling and I’m so grateful for the magic that goes down during every retreat experience!
Some info about me:

Here’s an article about a cancer survivors event I spoke at on the Gold Coast of Australia.
